The Resort also offers meeting facilities, wedding services and Kona's only oceanfront Luau, "Lava Legends & Legacies Polynesian Luau" presented by the award-winning Tihati Productions. - Renovation: Built in 1968 and managed by Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts. Ali'I and Lagoon Tower rooms refurbished in 2006; swimming pool and deck area renovated in January 2003. Improvements done recurrently and include regular maintenance and refreshment of standard rooms, murals added, and upgraded public spaces. Restaurant name change to Don the Beachcomber in 2005 and newly renovated in 2007.
