- Renovation: Kauai Marriott Resort is currently undergoing a $50 million renovation to their guestrooms and public areas which started June 1st and will be concluding December 11th, 2009. Below are the major enhancements which began in phases on June 1st, 2009. The hotel remains operational during the renovation:
- All 356 guestrooms and suites are being transformed to create a more modern and contemporary ambiance, punctuated by the idyllic Hawaiian beachfront setting of Kalapaki Bay.
- Kukuis Restaurant will be renovated to include more covered dining areas and a new sushi bar, making the dining experience most exceptional. It will be walled during renovation to buffer noise. It will open September 25, 2009.
- Brand new beach-front Toro-Tei Sushi Bar will open October 1, 2009.
- The popular Aupaka Terrace will be transformed to a comfortable and relaxing lounge with a full bar for traditional and trendy cocktail mixology. It will open December 11, 2009.
- Private Gazebo & Seaside Cabana Dinners will be available starting September 25, 2009. This unique dining experience includes a 4-course meal prepared by their Chef with private butler service, fresh flower leis and champagne. - Kalapaki Kids Club is being enhanced to include all the electronic toys kids enjoy at home and will re-open December 2009.
- The pool deck will be refinished from now - September 30, 2009 but the Pool will remain OPEN. This restoration project will give the pool deck an updated, more refreshed appearance.
